Aruba National Commission for UNESCO

The Aruba National Commission for UNESCO is the official body representing Aruba as an Associate Member of UNESCO (since 1988). Because Aruba is a constituent country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the commission functions as a specialized national agency that coordinates international cooperation in education, science, culture, and communication. It serves as the primary link between the global UNESCO headquarters in Paris and the local Aruban community, working to integrate UNESCO’s global sustainable development goals (SDGs) into the island’s national policies.
