Profile
Located along the L.G. Smith Boulevard waterfront, just steps from the cruise ship terminal and opposite the Royal Plaza Mall, the Aruba Flea Market (often called the “Wharfside Market”) is the island’s longest-running open-air shopping hub. It consists of rows of small, colorful outdoor kiosks offering a vibrant mix of souvenirs, island crafts, and beach essentials. Unlike the fixed prices in the malls across the street, this is one of the few places in Aruba where bargaining is expected. It is the go-to spot for tourists looking to pick up affordable mementos, from “Aruba One Happy Island” license plates and woven bags to aloe products and tropical clothing. While many items are imported, you can find hidden gems of local craftsmanship if you browse carefully.
