Profile
Located in a beautifully restored 100-year-old historic building in downtown Oranjestad, Taste My ArubaClick to open side panel for more information is more than just a restaurant; it is a culinary manifesto driven by owner Nathaly de Mey. The venue’s philosophy is strictly “farm-to-table” and “sea-to-table,” with a commitment to sustainability that permeates every aspect of the dining experience. There is no freezer on site because everything served is caught or harvested daily. Guests dine in a charming, open-air courtyard garden, surrounded by the history of the old city, creating an intimate and authentic atmosphere.
The menu changes every single day based entirely on what the local fishermen bring in and what is available from local farmers. This means there is no printed menu; instead, the offerings are written on a chalkboard or explained personally by Nathaly or her staff. Expect the freshest possible seafood—such as wahoo, red snapper, and lobster—prepared in traditional Aruban styles that highlight the natural flavors without heavy masking. It is a slow-dining experience designed to connect visitors with the true culture and heritage of the island through its food.
