Profile
Located just off the main strip in Palm Beach (right next to Wendy’s), Bavaria German RestaurantClick to open side panel for more information is a hidden gem owned and operated by a German family, Peter and his wife. It offers a genuine slice of Deutschland in the Caribbean, known for serving hearty, traditional comfort food in an unpretentious setting. The restaurant features both an air-conditioned indoor dining room and a relaxed, open-air “biergarten” terrace, which is perfect for enjoying a cold drink on a warm evening.
The menu is a tribute to classic German cuisine, featuring favorites like Sauerbraten (pot roast), Bratwurst, and crispy Potato Pancakes. They are particularly famous for their massive selection of German beers—arguably the best on the island—ranging from Weihenstephaner to Erdinger. Unlike many tourist traps, the food here is homemade and authentic, with the owner often circulating among tables to chat with guests. It’s also surprisingly dietary-friendly, with a menu that clearly marks a wide array of Gluten-Free options, including gluten-free schnitzel and sauces.
